If I could choose anywhere to visit for 1 day- I might choose some distant beautiful planet, filled with life and beauty. Perhaps a planet more beautiful than earth.

But is there life out there? Many wonder how that could be?

How could a God, who loves us, create other ‘competing’ worlds? My question is this: Why wouldn’t He? If God is ‘God’: why should we limit him and his infinite ability to create and love various creatures? Does mankind think not only that man must be top dog in the universe; in fact, that man is the ONLY dog in the Universe?

Why should we place limits on God based on our own finite ability to understand?

Imagine there were once life on Mars? Then, in the time space continuum, the Creator made sure that his various and different worlds and species would NEVER meet.  For example, one planet would die out as the Sun’s age and heat changed and became right for another planet in its solar system. Therefore, God would have put a great distance in both the time (of life), and the physical distance between worlds, assuring that man and other creatures would not run into each other either on purpose or accidentally.

One genius, Stephen Hawkins, recently stated that “Before we understood science, it was natural to believe that God created the universe. But now science offers a more convincing explanation.”  Huh? More recently he added, that the fact that there may be life on other planets PROVED  that there was no God! How so? Wishful thinking? Where on earth would a supposed genius get such a thought? He offered no science, math or reasoning to back up his statement, except to admit he’s already an atheist anyway. He could just as easily said, “Kittens are cute, which proves there’s no God.” According to Hawkins, (and I paraphrase)  ‘Since I’m an Atheist, what I say goes. I have decreed it so.’

Well, they say Hawkins is a genius, which proves Intelligent Design: the theory that the universe and living things were designed and created by the purposeful action of an intelligent agent. 

And of course, then there is the talk about multiverses: that is, the possibility that our universe is not the only one. Who can claim whether or not there is life out there? And who can claim, based on their own bias, that this proves there is no God?

To me, the fact that there may be life ‘out there’ makes me even more amazed at the wonder and power of God. It proves that God isn’t a one trick pony- if He chooses not to be. Earthlings may be one of zillions of creations able to reason in the universe. Considering there are between 200 – 400 billion stars in our Galaxy alone, and each Star can be orbited by many planets, the possibilities are endless, and that’s just our galaxy: The Milky Way.

And to further the infiniteness  of an unlimitable God, according to Universe Today  “…it’s with no big surprise that I need to update the estimate for the number of galaxies in the observable Universe. Until a couple of weeks ago, the established count for galaxies was about 200 billion galaxies.

But a new paper published in the Astrophysics Journal revised the estimate for the number of galaxies, by a factor of 10, from 200 billion to 2 trillion. 200 billion, I could wrap my head around, I say billion all the time. But 2 trillion? That’s just an incomprehensible number…”

So where would I go if I could visit any planet anywhere for a day, providing that the oxygen would be adequate and the gravity wouldn’t squash me like a bug under a shoe? I’d ask God, Find me an already existing beautiful planet, with pink sunrises, with shimmering bronze lined clouds at sunset, beautiful creatures, and…

Never mind, I’m already here.
